Jeremy Karouta is a Scientific Researcher within the Artificial Perceptions group at the Centre for Automation and Robotics and PhD candidate within the Automation and Robotics program of the Industrial Engineering Department of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and has specialised in the automation of processes. His current research includes training convolutional neural nets, aiming to recognise individual weeds and defining necessary actions on single-plant scale with the goal to reduce herbicide usage.
