The University of Florence, Biosystem Engineering Division of GESAAF is devoted to the whole field of agriculture and forestry machinery. Important researches have been conducnted in the following areas: safety in the use of machines and agroforestry devices; innovative machinery and support systems on vineyard and olive; renewable crops mechanization; rural management; precision farming technology; labelling smart tools for LCA footprint indexes in the mechanized agricultural operations; procedures for fleet management; training of farmers and dissemination of innovations. This Research Unit is leading the AgriSmaRTLab in which develop relationship and project with SME at local and national level and with farm machinery dealers, consultants and public administrative organisms involved in machinery surveillance.
