PHD Agricultural Engineer since 2003, University Lecturer from 2008 in the Department of
Biosystems Engineering. She began her career in the field of post harvest sensing technologies
(on-line and at-line), mainly acoustic properties, hyperspectral and multispectral imaging
systems. The implementation of sensors, electronics and ICT in agricultural machinery,
precision farming and postharvest infrastructures is the basis for the monitoring and
optimization of these systems, which is her most recent and complementary research line.
With 20 years’ experience in research, has more than 30 and 100 articles in scientific and
professional journals respectively; has directed four doctoral theses, one of them with
European Mention. She is the Coordinator of the research team LPF-TAGRALIA of the
Universidad Politécnica Madrid (UPM).
